The A10VD Series features a drive motor that applies torque and rotational speed to the drive shaft, enabling the cylinder to be lifted and rotated via the drive shaft’s splines. Each revolution allows the pistons to complete a stroke within the cylinder bores, with stroke size determined by the cradle’s pitch. The pistons, secured by slipper pads, glide along the cradle’s surface, guided by a retaining plate. As the cradle rotates, the pistons traverse from bottom to top dead centers and return to their starting positions. During this process, hydraulic fluid is cycled in and out through control slots in the control plate, with fluid entering the piston chamber on the suction side as the piston retracts, while on the high-pressure side, fluid is expelled into the hydraulic system.
The A10Vd axial piston variable pump is designed for hydrostatic drives in open circuits, featuring an axial piston rotary group with a swash-plate design. Its flow is directly proportional to both drive speed and displacement, and can be infinitely adjusted by changing the swash-plate angle. The pump includes two drain ports, offers excellent suction performance, operates at a low noise level, and boasts a long service life. Additionally, it has a favorable power-to-weight ratio, a versatile range of controllers, and a short control time, making it compatible with gear pumps and axial piston pumps of the same size for a 100% through drive capability.
