Compensating Variable Flow Control
The TH-PCCC-*-51 model represents a comprehensive pressure compensating variable flow control system. Its design allows the orifice area to adjust dynamically as the lever is turned, ensuring a consistent and smooth outlet flow irrespective of the pressure at the control flow or excess flow ports. An adjustable ball spring relief mechanism facilitates pressure-compensated flow, adhering to the preset pressure limits of the relief valve, which is initially set at 1500 psi and can be adjusted in the field between 750 and 3000 psi.
This system features adjustable flow control valves that are pressure compensated, with the orifice area changing in response to lever rotation. The flow from the controlled flow (CF) port is directly proportional to the orifice area, which can transition from a closed to an open state. The total flow, combining the controlled flow (CF) and the excess flow (EX), equals the inlet flow (IN). The model is available in configurations with relief (TH-PCCR) or without relief (TH-PCCN), and it comes in various sizes: 3/8″ NPT (0-8 gpm), 1/2″ NPT (0-16 gpm), and 3/4″ NPT (0-30 gpm), as well as SAE-8 (0-8 gpm), SAE-10 (0-16 gpm), and SAE-12 (0-30 gpm). It features a stainless steel rotary spool, a heat-treated compensator spool, and standard Buna seals.
